Where next for Gareth Bale?
The issue of where Gareth Bale will be playing football next season is again a hot topic on Thursday.
Bale’s ongoing career at Real Madrid was thrown into doubt immediately after the Champions League final.
Bale, the former Tottenham forward, came off the bench again Liverpool to win the final for Madrid.
Bale scored twice, including one of the greatest ever Champions League goals of all-time. After the game the Welsh star confirmed he needs more game time in 2018-19.
Recent weeks have seen Man United and even Spurs linked to Bale. But could Bale end up at Arsenal?
From Tottenham to Arsenal?
Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has openly spoken about his client joining Arsenal this summer.
In a conversation with Sky Sports, Barnett claimed that Bale has been an Arsenal fans since he was a kid:
He has to play football. (As an Arsenal fan) I’d love him to play there but it’s got as much chance as me going to the moon.
He wants a better year than he had last year. He wants to play more, and that’s paramount to him. I think he’s one of the top three or four players on earth. For somebody like him, he has to play. It’s not about money.
He wants to win the Ballon d’Or and I think he can. I think he’s the best there has ever been in that sense (a British player abroad), unless someone can name me someone who’s been more successful.
