John McGinn heads to Aston Villa from Hibs

Sky Sports have confirmed on Tuesday that Hibs midfielder John McGinn has turned up at Aston Villa’s training ground.

McGinn is a 23-year-old Scottish international.

Hibs are in a precarious position regarding McGinn as the midfielder only as a year to run on his contract.

McGinn has started the season brightly for Hibs. He scored in the Europa League tie against Asteras Tripolis.

Aston Villa could spend around 4 million pounds on bringing McGinn to the Championship.

Tottenham & Jack Grealish

The assumption is that Aston Villa are signing McGinn as a replacement for future Tottenham midfielder Jack Grealish.

Spurs, who are the only Premier League club yet to make a summer signing, have been chasing Grealish all summer.

Ian Abrahams of TalkSport has reported on Tuesday that Grealish will have a medical in London on Wednesday.

Hull City 1 – Aston Villa 3

Evandro Goebel fired Hull into a seventh minute lead, but Villa were soon level when Tommy Elphick equalised.

Villa won the match with two second half goals. Ahmed El Mohamady and Alan Hutton found the target to hand Steve Bruce a winning start.

Grealish played 83 minutes before he was subbed out the game.
