Kounde attracting Premier League interest
Jules Kounde has been honing his craft with Sevilla for nearly two years now.
The 22-year-old joined the Spanish outfit in the summer of 2019 from Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux.
Sevilla are understood to have paid around £22.5m to bring the stopper to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium.
He went on to feature 40 times during 2019/20, playing a key role in the club’s Europa League triumph.
Kounde then racked up a further 49 appearances across all competitions in 2020/21.
And, amid a host of consistently impressive displays, the stopper has inevitably been linked with some top sides of late.
Manchester City were tipped to move for the youngster during the delayed summer window.
Jules Kounde to Tottenham?
However, this month has seen yet another Premier League side tipped to move for the stopper.
That side is Tottenham, with reports emerging from Spain earlier this month that Spurs were set to bid for the Sevilla central defender.
Now, a fresh update on the Kounde situation has emerged from a reliable transfer source, and it is good news for Tottenham fans.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham have an agreement with Sevilla for Kounde. Said agreement would reportedly see the Lilywhites cough up €30m and Davinson Sanchez.
Kounde for his part, does not appear to have come to a definitive decision on the deal yet, with Di Marzio stating that he is thinking about it.
