Arsenal & Thomas Lemar
There are several months to go before the January transfer window opens.
But according to the tabloids in England on Friday, Arsenal are gearing up to sign Thomas Lemar in the new year.
Of course, Arsenal failed to sign the France and Monaco star in the summer.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal offered 100 million euros for Lemar on transfer deadline day.
As we all know, Lemar rejected that offer and he remains a Monaco player.
But on last weekend’s edition of Telefoot, Wenger also admitted that he hasn’t given up on Lemar yet.
Does that mean Arsenal will try to sign the French international in January? And will the Gunners have any luck in the future signing the Les Bleus midfielder?
Lemar going to the Gunners
According to the Sun on Friday, Thomas Lemar is joining Arsenal in the next window. The red top tell their readers the following:
Arsenal are confident Thomas Lemar will join in a £92million move from Monaco in January.
The story is further fleshed out in the Star, as they take the lead claiming Lemar to Arsenal is on:
Starsport understands a deal has been agreed in principle with Monaco along with a five-year contract for the France midfielder, worth around £250,000-a-week.
Boss Arsene Wenger has told associates the Lemar deal does not hinge on Alexis Sanchez being sold in the New Year.\

While Arsenal fans would dearly love the Lemar rumours to be true, are they?
The Star have a horrible record in getting transfer rumours right, so Gooners will likely be skeptical that this Lemar update is accurate.
Of course, Arsenal are not in the Champions League this season, while they are currently 16th in the Premier League.
Monaco, by contrast, are the reigning Ligue 1 champions. They are also in the Champions League and they’ve started the season in excellent form.
