A fresh insight into imminent departure of out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele has been provided on Monday.
Midfielder Ndombele, of course, is currently plying his trade back in north London.
This comes after Olympique Lyonnais, in a surprise to none, opted against taking up their mammoth option to buy on the 25-year-old, after his loan stint with the club came to an end last month.
With Tottenham having added to their ranks in the middle of the park courtesy of the likes of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr ahead of next season, though, it has long been apparent that Ndombele is viewed as surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte and co.

A fresh departure for the French international, in turn, was widely expected over the course of the coming weeks.
And now, as alluded to above, a telling insight into the situation has been provided.
The deal will come in the form of a season-long loan, after Daniel Levy and co. agreed to farm their one-time club record signing out for a fee in the region of €1 million.
This will be followed by an option to buy on Napoli’s part next summer, for an altogether more considerable €30 million.
Napoli are now set to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham. Loan fee around €1m, buy option for €30m. Spurs have accepted their proposal. 🚨🔵 #Napoli #THFC
Final details being sorted on player side then it will be done.
