Man United v Man City

Spanish paper claims Man United’s ‘ideal replacement’ for Zlatan is also wanted by Man City

Man United v Man City

On Wednesday, Spanish paper El Confidencial have a lengthy piece of Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.

The 23-year-old Argentine international joined Juve in 2015 from Palermo in a five-year deal for a fee of €32 million.

Dybala has scored four goals in 11 games in Serie A this season, including a penalty in Juve’s 3-0 victory over Bologna on Sunday.

In recent days he’s been linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona, however El Confidencial believe a host of other big clubs are also chasing the striker.

Those clubs include Man United and Man City.

The throwaway comments

Unfortunately El Confidencial fail to give any substance to suggestions that United or City will be able to land the Juve forward anytime soon.

However, the paper does make the following claims about the interest from the two Manchester clubs.

On United, the paper claim Dybala is the “perfect alternative for Ibrahimovic”. Zlatan’s contract expires at the end of the season, however the Swede is tipped to agree an extension with the Red Devils.

As for the Sky Blues, the paper claims Pep Guardiola is already “dreaming” of a new attacking trio with Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Dybala. Interestingly they do not make any mention of Gabriel Jesus.
