Premier League outfit Southampton have, on Friday, confirmed the club's 2nd signing in the space of just a couple of hours.

Saints supporters will of course be well aware of their side's first piece of summer transfer business being pushed over the line earlier this afternoon.

This came in the form of the arrival of the highly-regarded Gavin Bazunu, brought in from Manchester City to provide competition for Alex McCarthy between the posts on the back of Fraser Forster's free agent move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Republic of Ireland international Bazunu has put pen to paper on terms at St. Mary's through the summer of 2027:

Evidently, though, Ralph Hasenhuttl and the transfer team at Southampton were of the opinion that Bazunu's arrival alone was not enough to sufficiently reinforce the club's ranks between the sticks ahead of next season.

In turn, a short time ago, a 2nd goalkeeper addition to the Saints' squad was confirmed.

As per an official announcement across the club's website and social media platforms, Mateusz Lis is the latest player to have committed his future to the Hampshire outfit.

Lis, 25, arrives at St. Mary's as a free agent, on the back of the expiration of his contract with Turkish outfit Altay SK, with whom the Pole managed 35 Super Lig appearances last season.

He too has penned a long-term deal, following Bazunu in agreeing to the terms of a five-year contract.
