Who’ll get the Everton job?
It’s looking highly unlikely that David Unsworth will get the Everton job on a full-time basis.
Since taken over managerial duties after Ronald Koeman was sacked, Everton have slumped to two defeats.
The Toffees were dumped out of the League Cup last week away at Chelsea. While last weekend in the Premier League, Everton looked way off the pace in a 2-0 loss at Leicester.
Will Everton fare any better against Watford at Goodison Park on Sunday?
And how will they get on on Thursday night in the Europa League away at Lyon?
Wolves & Jorge Mendes
On Monday we reported that David Unsworth is still the most likely man to get the Everton job on a permanent basis, according to Ladbrokes.
At the start of the week, the caretaker boss remained a 2/1 favourite for the role despite losing at Leicester City.
Burnley’s Sean Dyche was next in the betting at 3/1, while Thomas Tuchel and Marco Silva remain 4/1 shots.
But, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Everton have a new target in their sights. The Sky Sports pundit revealed on social media that “Everton have contacted Nuno as one of the potential candidates to replace Koeman. His agent Jorge Mendes is listening.”

Wolves stayed top of the Championship on Tuesday night following a fine 2-0 away win at Norwich.
Cardiff are one point behind Wolves at the top of the table.
One suspects that Wolves would be determined to hold onto their manager as they aim to return to the Premier League after a long absence from the top flight.
Moreover, the Nuno links seem to reveal that Everton still have no long term plan in place for how the club should move on after Koeman.
