A pair of transfer updates surrounding Spanish giants Barcelona have emerged online this evening.
The rampant speculation with regards to Barcelona’s squad of course comes on the back of the club’s European exit last week.
The Blaugrana got their Champions League campaign back underway on Friday, in a quarter-final meeting with Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga champions were understandably viewed as favourites to advance ahead of kick-off, amid a scintillating recent spell of form.
Few could have predicted, though, quite the mauling that was in store for Barcelona.
An embarrassing display on the part of the Catalan powerhouse eventually saw them put to the sword by 8 goals to 2.
Thomas Muller (2), Ivan Perisic, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski were all on target, before a late brace from Barca loanee Philippe Coutinho firmly compounded the misery of the La Liga outfit.

Ronald Koeman has of course already replaced Quique Setien on the club’s bench, with subsequent comments on the part of Blaugrana president Josep Maria Bartomeu having hinted that all but 7 of Koeman’s inherited squad could be on the move this summer.
And, as outlined above, an update on the potential landing spot of one such player has today been forthcoming.
The individual in question is Luis Suarez, who, at 33, appears to have been deemed surplus to requirements in Catalunya.
Recent days have seen Dutch giants Ajax, a club whom Suarez of course lined out for during the early years of his career, hotly tipped to swoop for the Uruguayan international.
As such, speaking during an interview this morning, Ronald Koeman was drawn on the possibility of such a move coming to fruition.
And, albeit in a lighthearted tone, the new Barca boss refused to rule out the possibility, explaining:

Whilst one attacker is linked with a move away from the Camp Nou, meanwhile, another is tipped to arrive.
According to the generally reliable RAC1, Koeman is eyeing up fellow countryman Memphis Depay as a potential addition to his new side’s attack.
Koeman spent the last two years overseeing Depay’s development on a regular basis, as part of the Dutch national side.
