In the summer, Arsenal will look to sign a midfielder and have drawn up a list of targets.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are due to turn 31 and 30 respectively in the summer.

The Gunners, therefore, want to sign a younger option and whilst Declan Rice is one of their main targets, they are also looking at other players.

Arsenal target three midfielders

Arsenal are considering moves for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Everton’s Amadou Onana in the summer, report the Evening Standard.

Chelsea are also looking at both players.

The Blues have even been trying to sign Caicedo this month but have had two bids of over £55 million rejected by the Seagulls.

They are now looking to re-enter talks over a deal for Enzo Fernandez.

In the meantime, the Gunners are now thinking about hijacking their move for Caicedo.

Declan Rice is another midfielder they hold a strong interest in and the player is also keen on a move to the Emirates.

The 24-year-old is one of their top targets, but in case they don’t land him, Caicedo and Onana are alternatives.
