Revealed: The fee Arsenal are willing to sell Nicolas Pepe for this summer

Reports emerging over the weekend have revealed the fee for which Arsenal are willing to part with Nicolas Pepe this summer.

Pepe joined Arsenal in the summer of 2019 from Lille. The Gunners paid a staggering £72m to bring the Ivorian to north London.

And though a player of course has no control over his price tag, to say that Pepe has since failed to come anywhere close to justifying such a fee would be putting it lightly.

Both Unai Emery, who has made public that he in fact wanted to sign Wilfried Zaha over Pepe, and Mikel Arteta, have struggled to get the best out of the gifted wide-man.

Pepe would have a bright end to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, which saw him net five times in his last three league outings of the season.

However, he has since struggled to emulate that form during the current term. He has scored just one goal and provided one assist in 16 league outings.

Arsenal to sell Nicolas Pepe for reduced fee

Even since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was frozen out and then left the club, Pepe has continued to be on the fringes of Arsenal’s squad, not featuring for more than 21 minutes in any league game since Aubameyang was first dropped by Mikel Arteta.

So, it should not come as too much of a surprise to learn that Arsenal are willing to part with Pepe for a fraction of the price they initially paid Lille for him back in 2019.

As per football.london, citing Sports Mole, the Gunners are willing to entertain offers of £25m for their out-of-favour attacker this summer.
