After signing Martin Odegaard, Marco Asensio and Jesus Vallejo in recent times, Real Madrid are now poised to pick up another leading teenager, according to AS.
The Spanish daily today reveal that Los Blancos are chasing 18-year-old Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ante Coric.
The Iberian outlet labels Coric the new “Croatian pearl”.
So what do we know? Real Madrid have reportedly already contacted the player’s agent, Andy Bara, while Real’s scouts are watching the playmaker closely. That said, the Madridistas have not yet tabled a bid for the teenager.
Coric has a contract with Croatian champions until 2020, while he is valued at 10 million euros.
So far this season Coric have played 26 games for Dinamo, scoring twice and chalking up four assist.
AS also note that Manchester City, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Porto and Barcelona have all been linked to the playmaker.
Back in November, Coric openly revealed he wants to leave Zagreb, telling reporters:
It’s over. I want to leave Dinamo.
Since childhood I dreamed that I would play in the blue of Dinamo but it was obviously not meant to be. They have repeatedly urged me to sign a new contract and remain loyal but then they have turned their back.
Nobody wants to talk to me, nobody wants to explain why I am not playing. If I am not playing here then I am going somewhere else.
