Edinson Cavani & PSG celebrate

Real Madrid offered the chance to sign PSG forward

Following a controversial altercation with Neymar, Edison Cavani looks like he could be on his way out of Paris, with Paris Saint-Germain offering Real Madrid the chance to sign the Uruguayan, according to Spanish publication Diario Gol.

Clash of the egos

During PSG’s 2-0 win over Lyon, Neymar and Cavani clashed twice.

The South American duo argued over who should take two separate set-pieces.

The first was a penalty, which Cavani got and then missed.

The pair then argued over who should take a free-kick.

Dani Alves intervened and handed the ball to Neymar.

It is now understood that the world’s most expensive player Neymar believes that his relationship with Cavani is unfixable.

Subsequently, PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi is now looking to offload the club’s number 9.

Barca’s rivals

There is a clear hatred between Barcelona and PSG following this summer’s transfer window and last season’s UEFA Champions League clash.

PSG have already proven how low they are willing to go in terms of getting one over Barca; demonstrated in their attempts to sign Jean Seri.

Now they are offering Barcelona’s El Clasico rivals Real Madrid the opportunity to sign Edison Cavani.

Real interest?

Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made contact with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.

Currently, Zinedine Zidane only has two strikers in his squad: Karim Benzema, who has just signed a new contract, and Borja Mayoral.

Real Madrid now hope to land another striker.

However, Cavani is not the choice of Florentino Pérez and this deal does not seem likely at this stage.
