Chelsea & Eden Hazard
Once again this Thursday, the future of Eden Hazard at Chelsea has been thrown into doubt.
Hazard has starred for Belgium as they reached the World Cup semi-finals.
The 27-year-old Belgian is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2020. However rumours have been around for months linking Hazard with a Chelsea exit and La Liga switch.
Real Madrid vs Barcelona
In recent months, Real Madrid have been name-dropped as the frontrunners for Hazard.
Indeed, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from Los Blancos to Juventus, many have suggested that Real could sign Hazard as a replacement.
Yet, according to Catalan daily Sport, it’s Barcelona who have stolen a march in the Hazard transfer saga.
Sport today proclaim that Barcelona have opened talks with Hazard’s agents over a move.
In bad news for Chelsea and Real Madrid, Sport say that Hazard is keen on playing at the Camp Nou.
News of Hazard’s interest in Barcelona has to be contrasted with comments Hazard made this week about Real Madrid. He said:
Real Madrid is everyone’s dream. The white shirt is special, but the blue shirt suits me well, so everything’s fine, and staying doesn’t bother me.
Los agentes de Hazard se vieron con el Barça y confirmaron su total predisposición para salir del Chelsea y vestir de blaugrana. El Madrid también ha entrado en la puja. Además, Lenglet fichado y Arthur será presentado hoy.

Maurizio Sarri vs Antonio Conte
If Hazard does leave Chelsea, many Blues fans may believe that the club’s managerial situation this summer will have been a catalyst for the Belgian’s exit.
Antonio Conte remains in charge of Chelsea, even though the Italian has been a dead-man-walking for months.
Maurizio Sarri still hasn’t joined the Pensioners, despite the non-stop rumours in the papers.
The belief is that Sarri will still become Chelsea’s new boss before the start of the season. But with less than a month to go until the Premier League season restarts, have Chelsea already botched their chances for success next season?
