Scottish giants Rangers have, on Friday, announced a fresh addition to the club's first-team setup.

The latest player to have opted to take his talents to Ibrox? Malik Tillman.

Most of a Gers persuasion are unlikely to be overly familiar with the talents possessed by highly-regarded youngster Tillman.

The 20-year-old is product of the youth setup in Bavaria, having made the move to Munich from Greuther Furth back in 2015. Tillman is an attacking midfielder by trade, but is also capable of dropping deep into a more orthodox role in the middle of the park, or pushing into the centre-forward spot.

In addition, despite his tender years, Tillman is already a fully established international, having been capped twice by the United States of America earlier this year.

As alluded to above, though, having evidently come to the conclusion that securing for himself a regular place in the starting XI at the Allianz Arena is altogether unlikely at this moment in time, the midfielder has opted to take his talents to Scotland.

As per an official announcement across the club's social media platforms, Tillman has put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal with Giovanni van Bronckhorst's Rangers.

The agreement, significantly, also includes an option to buy, set to come into effect in the summer of 2023.

Tillman represents the 5th arrival on the blue half of Glasgow this summer.
