Following their excellent win over Monaco in the Europa League on Thursday night, Tottenham return to action today with a home match against Newcastle at White Hart Lane.
Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash, Spurs fans are waking up today to read claims in the Sun of PSG’s latest attempts to sign French international keeper Hugo Lloris from North London.
The red top reports that PSG will offer Lloris £200,000-a-week. And that’s about all they report.
In a super flimsy article, the Sun note that Spurs would want at least £30 million for their 28-year-old keeper.
The paper also fails to specify when PSG are intending to make their offer for Lloris.
Back in July 2014, Lloris agreed a new five year contract to keep him at Spurs until 2019. He originally joined the Lillywhites from Lyon back in 2012.
They have been rumours of a £20 million release clause in Lloris’s contract, however most people believe that clause is merely a rumour.
Bottom line: this seems like a silly story from the Sun ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
