PSG set to complete second transfer of the century this summer: Kylian Mbappe

PSG’s remarkable summer transfer window

It feels like a long time ago that PSG were fending off interest from Barcelona in midfielder Marco Verratti.

PSG have undoubtedly already “won” the summer transfer window with the signing of Neymar from Barcelona for 222 million euros.

But, that is far from the end of PSG’s recruitment this summer. Widespread reports in France this weekend have confirmed that a deal for Kylian Mbappe is close.

On Thursday, those reports have moved up a notch with a report in Le Parisien that confirms PSG will sign Mbappe before the end of the summer transfer window.

PSG to complete 2nd transfer of the century

Mbappe will join PSG for 150 million euros plus one player in exchange.

Monaco agreed to sell Mbappe last weekend, when negotiations began after plenty of speculation about the young attacker.

Mbappe was incredible in the second half of last season as Monaco won Ligue 1 and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The player most likely to join Monaco is Portuguese winger Goncalo Guedes as Leonardo Jardim is a big fan of the former Benfica youngster.

Lucas Moura is also a possibility to be included in the Mbappe deal.

How will PSG conform to Financial Fair Play regulations?

Le Parisien do delve into how PSG will confirm to Financial Fair Play regulations having made some incredible signings this summer.

New PSG sporting director Antero Henrique looks likely to be busy until the very end of the summer transfer window.

Serge Aurier will join Spurs pending his judicial appeal to allow him to enter the UK.

Grzegorz Krychowiak is also expected to leave PSG this summer. Whilst one or both of Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler could still depart.

Neymar, Mbappe & Cavani!!!

Unai Emery’s starting frontline will be Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani which will undoubtedly strike fear into the rest of Europe.

As a result, even the likes of Javier Pastore and Di Maria will struggle for playing time with PSG.

Le Parisien add that it would be crazy of PSG to build a side capable of winning the Champions League to only then be excluded from the competition due to Financial Fair Play.

Mbappe has been excluded from recent Monaco squads due to rumours of training ground fights with team mates.

The young attacker is expected to be named in Didier Deschamps’ France squad today for matches against Holland and Luxembourg.
