PSG beaten by Real Madrid
The fallout from PSG’s Champions League exit this week continues on Thursday.
Without the injured Neymar, PSG were beaten 2-1 by Real Madrid in Paris on Tuesday night.
Real, who have won the competition two seasons on trot, beat PSG 5-2 on aggregate.
Even before the full-time whistle blew at the Parc de Princes, rumours were swirling that Unai Emery would be sacked at the end of the season.
And according to L’Equipe on Thursday morning, PSG have already contacted Antonio Conte to get him to join from Chelsea.
‘PSG contract Chelsea’s Conte’
Conte is under contract at Chelsea until the end of next season, although his exit this summer has been mooted for months.
Perhaps the biggest question isn’t whether Conte will leave Chelsea, but whether he’d want to manage PSG.
Conte has previously complained about the intensity of working at a club like Chelsea. The pressure would only appear to increase on the Italian if he moved to Paris.
That said, L’Equipe tell their readers that Conte’s brother, Gianluca, has been in contact with PSG about their interest in Antonio.
L’Equipe also believe that Conte is keen on the move. Financially Conte would get a huge salary is he joined the Parisians.
It’s also announced that Conte’s agent, Federico Pastorello, was in Paris on Tuesday.

At the same time, Conte is been chased by the Italian FA to re-sign as the national team manager.
It’s also worth noting that Conte may not be PSG’s first choice. In an op-ed in L’Equipe on Thursday, it’s claimed that PSG have four managers at the top of their wanted list: Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Diego Simeone and Zinedine Zidane.
But none of those managers are currently available, which is why they’ve turned to Chelsea’s Conte.
Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino
Yet, according to RMC Sport, they believe PSG are actually chasing Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino instead.
Pochettino previously played for PSG in his career.
But whether the Argentine is gettable from Tottenham this summer is very much up in the air.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is PSG's #1 target to replace Unai Emery this summer, according to RMC.
