Will Spurs ever sign anyone?
For a few weeks now, Tottenham have been linked with Estudiantes 19-year-old defender Juan Foyth.
Spurs are right now the only side in the Premier League not have made a summer signing. A fact which is a concern to their fan base, despite the quality side Mauricio Pochettino has built.
The sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City last Friday, for a world record fee for a defender, will likely see Tottenham make some moves.
Spurs have been heavily linked with Ross Barkley in recent days and the rumours surrounding Foyth continue to swirl in Argentina.
PSG muscle in on major Spurs target Juan Foyth
On Tuesday, reports from Argentina suggested that Estudiantes had rejected Tottenham’s opening offer for Juan Foyth.
Despite the fact many Tottenham fans had never head of Foyth a few weeks ago, this news did not go down well.
After all, if Spurs cannot sign a young defender from Argentina, what hope do they have for a more expensive, higher profile signing?
On Thursday, Tottenham supporters have even more to worry about with the news that PSG are keen on Foyth as well.
Alexis Sanchez, Neymar & Juan Foyth?
Le Parisien, usually a very good source of news on PSG, report that new sporing director Antero Henrique is currently looking to close three transfers: Neymar, Alexis Sanchez and Juan Foyth.
Spurs fans will have no qualms about Sanchez joining PSG from Arsenal but might be bothered about Foyth’s future plans.
PSG and Henrique are serious about signing Foyth and initial contacts have been made in South America.
However no deal has been struck. Perhaps this is just a ploy to make Spurs’ next offer a serious one for Foyth.
PSG are well stacked for central defenders but Foyth would be considered a back-up option.
