Wait. How can you sign a player outside the transfer window?!
Leaving that issue to one side, Real Madrid have announced on Tuesday night that they have official agreed a deal with Portuguese club FC POrto for their Brazilian right-back Danilo.
The news was made public by Real Madrid on Twitter.
According to early reports, the Los Blancos will shell out a massive 31.5 million euros for the defender.
23-year-old Danilo is an athletic, attacking full-back, who appears to have been signed by Real to become the long term replacement Alvaro Arbeloa.
Of course, Spanish international Dani Carvajal is the current right-back at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Danilo will have to fight to dislodge the Real Madrid youth graduate from the team.
Danilo has scored three goals in 23 games for Porto in the Portuguese top flight this season.
In an official statement, Real Madrid announced that Danilo will leave Porto to move to Spain on June 30, 2021.
