Sergio Aguero

Odds slashed on Sergio Aguero leaving Man City for Chelsea

Sergio Aguero to Chelsea?

Over the past 24 hours, rumours of Sergio Aguero moving to Chelsea have seriously picked up.

It started with suggestions in the Spanish press that Pep Guardiola will allow Aguero to leave Manchester City.

And, has continued on Monday as Sky Sports have “serious & strong interest” in Sergio Aguero.

Were it to happen, Sergio Aguero to Chelsea would be one of the biggest transfers ever seen in English football.

Would Man City sell Aguero to Chelsea?

Aguero is synonymous with Manchester City and it seems unlikely even if Pep Guardiola doesn’t want the Argentine, he surely wouldn’t strengthen a rival.

Chelsea would likely welcome Aguero as he would be a good solution to their striker chase.

The Blues saw their move for Romelu Lukaku hijacked by Manchester United. Since then they have been heavily linked with Alvaro Morata, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Andrea Belotti.

Chelsea just 2/1 to sign Sergio Aguero this summer

Sergio Aguero has seen his odds of a summer switch to Chelsea slashed by Ladbrokes.

The firm had the Argentine priced up at 10/1 for a move to Stamford Bridge, but those odds have been cut to just 2/1 today.

Arsenal are the only other side in the running for his signature at present, with 10/1 on offer for the 29-year-old to join the Gunners.

Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “City fans could be biting their fingernails at the latest news, with odds of Aguero exiting for West London slashed from 10/1 to just 2s.”

Sergio Aguero – Next club current odds:

Chelsea – 2/1

Arsenal – 10/1

The Sergio Aguero transfer rumour could well run for some time, as it feels like Chelsea are no closer to finding their Diego Costa replacement.

Alvaro Morata is heavily linked to AC Milan today and Borussia Dortmund have urged interested clubs to make offers for Pierre Emericak Aubameyang in the next week.
