‘Real Madrid want Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp’
The Sunday Sun’s Alan Nixon has stuck his head above the parapet this weekend to vomit up yet another highly dubious transfer story.
He’s volleyed up the rumour that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could be in charge of Real Madrid next season.
According to Nixon, Zinedine Zidane is highly likely to be sacked by Los Blancos in the summer.
Indeed the tabloid believes that Zidane only have one chance to keep his Madrid job:
Real’s legendary French leader Zidane is in danger of getting the boot — unless he retains the Champions League.
Will Madrid win the Champions League for a third straight season?
Why not! They already have one foot in the final four after their 3-0 away win at Juventus last week in the UCL.
It’s also worth noting that it’s been clear for months that Madrid will not win the La Liga title this season.
Will Klopp leave Liverpool?
It should come as no surprise to learn that the Sun have no real details on the likelihood on Klopp leaving Liverpool this summer to move to Madrid.
Indeed the red-top completely fails to mention that Klopp signed a six year deal with the Reds in 2016.
That means the German is under contract at Anfield until 2022.
Klopp also have a record of being loyal in the dugout. He spent seven years at Mainz as their manager, before spending seven years at Borussia Dortmund.
German journalist Rafa Honigstein has previously stated that Klopp’s “fantasy” to finish after seven years at Liverpool and maybe take over take over the reins of the German national team.
