Where is Fernando Torres heading?
Fernando Torres has revealed that this season will be his last with his childhood club, Atletico Madrid.
Newcastle and Celtic are just two teams in the rumour mill but Torres’ agent has stated that his client is most likely going to move out of Europe this summer.
Torres’ representatives revealed that he is likely to move to the MLS or any Chinese club (Goal).
Torres is 34 and has just a few years left in his playing career.
Did you know?
Torres is the only player to have won the World Cup, The European Championship, The Champions League, The Europa League, The FA Cup and The Euro golden boot.
Where will Torres go?
The MLS looks like the best destination for the Spanish legend.
Torres’ former international team-mate David Villa is loving life in the MLS with New York City FC.
Many of football’s top stars have gone to the US for the final few years of their career including Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and most recently, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Torres would surely earn more money in the Chinese Super League but the MLS is certainly a better option from a footballing point of view.
Torres is unlikely to sign for LA Galaxy due to their recent signing but there are plenty of MLS clubs who would love EL Niño.
Orlando City will be looking for a new star man since Kaka has retired and Torres would be a fantastic replacement.
Of course, Torres does not play in the same position as the former Ballon d’Or winner but he would provide the Orlando fans with plenty of excitement.
For now, Torres will be concentrating on finally winning a trophy with Atletico Madrid – the Europa League looks possible for Diego Simeone’s side.
