Newcastle vs Everton
As the final hours of the January transfer set in, West Ham and Newcastle United still have a lot of work to do.
The Hammers are ending the month with a ridiculous injury crisis. David Moyes is missing 13 first team players, most to injury.
As for Newcastle, those high hopes of a wonderful new year before Christmas have long dissipated.
Amanda Stavely’s takeover? Gone. New signings? Kenedy on loan from Chelsea doesn’t cut it.
Man City’s Eliaquim Mangala
With a little over 24 hours to go until the window shuts, West Ham and Newcastle are fighting for Man City’s Eliaquim Mangala.
Does anyone think panic is setting in at St James’ Park and the London Stadium?
Mangala has made nine Premier League appearances this season. But he’s only completed 90 minutes three times.
He’s now dropped further down the pecking order after Man City sign Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao for 65 million pounds.
Everton to sign Mangala
According to the updates on Wednesday morning, Everton seem primed to beat Newcastle to Mangala.
Those reports have been circulated by the Times and Sky Sports.
Sky sources understand Everton expect to sign Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City today. Newcastle and Valencia have also made an enquiry for the defender #DeadlineDay

Sandro Ramirez leaves Everton
Everton revealed on Tuesday night that out-of-favour striker Sandro Ramirez is set to join La Liga outfit Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season.
Sandro only made three Premier League starts for Everton, and just 13 appearances across all competitions.
His only goal for the Toffees to this point came during a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Atalanta in the Europa League back in November.
