Liverpool & Daniel Sturridge
It seems to be apparent that Daniel Sturridge is heading out of Liverpool this January.
Sturridge missed Saturday’s FA Cup defeat against West Brom last weekend. Indeed, the England international wasn’t even on the bench for Jurgen Klopp.
With a World Cup just around the corner, and with Sturridge firmly on the outside at Anfield, a move has been tipped during the current window.
Inter Milan were supposedly a suitor until the Italians distanced themselves from Sturridge on Sunday.
On Monday Newcastle United were linked to Sturridge. However news has since broken that West Brom are now at the front of the queue.
Newcastle vs West Brom
The biggest problem for the likes of Newcastle and West Brom in trying to sign Sturridge is money.
Sturridge is reportedly on 150,000 pounds a week at Anfield. And whoever picks up the attacker will have to foot that bill.
Has that ruled Newcastle out of the running?
According to the Guardian Andy Hunter on Monday afternoon, “Daniel Sturridge is expected to join Wet Brom on loan.”

That’s probably me off twitter for the rest of the window. 😩

That would be a huge coup for Alan Pardew as the Baggies look to beat the drop.
Is that why Sturridge missed the FA Cup match?
Jurgen Klopp on Sturridge
Liverpool take on Huddersfield in the Premier League on Tuesday.
On Monday, ahead of that game, Jurgen Klopp met the press.
Klopp was pushed to discuss Sturridge’s next move, and the German manager made the following statement:
A lot will happen in the transfer market in the next few days and we will see what happens here. If it was something that didn’t help us or Daniel or another club to make the deal, it makes no sense.
