Man United keeping turning up at Austria games
There’s been a pattern during recent international matches involving Austria.
It’s become apparent that Man United are scouting an Austrian international.
How do we know? Because in the last three matches Austria have played, it’s been confirmed that Man United have sent a scout to watch.
Man United scout Thomas Bormann keeps popping up at Austria games. It’s surely not a coincidence. (See the proof here.)
The Mirror reveal all
On Sunday, the Mirror believe they know who Man United are eyeing up. The tabloid report:
Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba and his Austria team-mate Julian Baumgartlinger.
Alaba, 24, is contracted to Bayern until 2021, but that won’t put off Mourinho, who would love to beat his old club Real Madrid to the player’s signature.
Baumgartlinger, 29, only joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer after coming through the ranks at 1860 Munich before joining Austria Vienna and then Mainz.
For what it’s worth, it seems hugely unlikely that Man United will sign Alaba. Why would he leave the Allianz Arena?
Moreover, it’s interesting to note how the Mirror excluded Austrian defender Aleksandar Dragovic from the list of possible targets, as the centre-half has also been linked with Old Trafford previously.
