Manchester United transfer news: Reds to trigger €60m release clause, right-back to listen to offers from United & more

Here is all the latest Manchester United transfer news.


First up, According to reports in Football Insider, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Liverpool’s head of research, Ian Graham. Graham resigned in June and is currently seeing out a 12-month notice period at Anfield, meaning he will depart the Merseyside club in May after being a key part of the Klopp era.

The same outlet has revealed that the Red Devils are also in pole position to sign Liverpool’s sporting director, Michael Edwards, in a double swoop to overhaul their recruitment department.

Next, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, who has been linked to a move to Barcelona, will start listening to offers from Manchester United as his alleged move to the Camp Nou seems to be an obscure possibility now.

AC Milan, Juventus, and two London-based clubs are said to be monitoring Meunier’s situation too.

Elsewhere, Manchester United are reportedly prepared to meet Martin Zubimendi’s €60m release clause, with manager Erik ten Hag keen on signing the Real Sociedad midfielder.

According to AS, the Red Devils have set their sights on Zubimendi, whose current contract at Real Sociedad expires in 2025, but the midfielder has a €60m release clause – a figure attainable by Manchester United.

United will look to move for the midfielder in the summer, with Barcelona also prowling for his signature.
