Manchester United’s lack of striking options has been clear for some time now.
Wout Weghorst joined the club on loan in January to help plug the gap for the second half of the season.
However, when the summer roles around, it is clear Manchester United will be in the market for a top no.9.
One of the names being linked is Harry Kane of Tottenham and England.
Kane’s future in north London is up in the air amid more struggles from a Spurs side who continue to look very unlikely to lift a trophy anytime soon.
Now, Manchester United have learnt how much a move for Kane would set them back.
The Daily Star has reported that any move for Kane will cost in excess of £300m, which will include £120m transfer fee to be paid to Tottenham in addition to the Englishman’s likely salary demands of over £375,000-per-week on a long-term contract.
This would see Kane become the highest paid player at Manchester United.
