Inter full-back Denzel Dumfries is set to snub a potential move to Manchester United, according to reports.

Dumfries rose to the top of the European game after a successful Euro 2020 campaign.

Dumfries lined out for the Netherlands at the most recent European Championships and caught the eye with his marauding runs down the right from a wing-back role.

His displays at Euro 2020 would then earn him plenty of attention in the 2021 summer transfer window, in which he made the move from PSV to Inter Milan.

The 26-year-old has since continued to impress with Inter, notching five goals and five assists in 33 league ties last term.

Now, in the latest few weeks, Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the right-back.

It was reported that Manchester United are interested in the Dutchman, and would like to buy him to offer a new threat for Erik ten Hag. Dumfries has a valuation of around €30m.

Now, however, fresh reports have all but put an end to United’s hopes of signing the full-back.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato report that Dumfries is set to snub a potential move to Manchester United as he remains under contract at Inter until 2025 and would like to stay put.

This leaves Manchester United facing the possibility of another campaign in which they must use Aaron Wan-Bissaka on a semi-regular basis.

Diogo Dalot is expected to become the Red Devils’ main right-back under Ten Hag as he is better on the ball and in the attacking third, but Wan-Bissaka is the only suitable back-up option right now.
