Manchester United and Chelsea-linked star’s agent speaks out on price-tag

An agent of a Manchester United-linked star is hoping his price-tag does not rise too much after impressing at the World Cup.

Manchester United had a positive summer, signing some solid players in some key positions.

Antony and Casemiro arrived to plugs holes at right-wing and defensive midfield – areas that have been lacking at United for some time.

Lisandro Martinez is also proving himself a great addition at centre-back and Christian Eriksen has impressed despite his age.

However, it is clear that Manchester United still need to add some fresh legs in certain areas.

With Cristiano Ronaldo gone, Anthony Martial is the Red Devils’ only natural no.9, whilst Diogo Dalot needs some cover at right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is still at Old Trafford, but it looks as though he has fallen out of favour and is set to leave the club.

This means Manchester United need to sign a new right-back, and one of the names up for discussion has been Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries is currently in Qatar for the World Cup and shone in his most recent display, scoring one and providing two assists from right-wing-back as the Netherlands saw off the USA by three goals to one.

However, with Dumfries impressing on the biggest stage, there is a fear his price-tag will rise too much.

Dumfries’ representative, Rafaela Pimenta, would be open to holding talks with interested parties but would prefer not to see more pounds and euros piled onto the 26-year-old’s price tag.

She said when asked by Sky Sport Italia if that figure is beginning to rocket: “Let’s hope not, otherwise it would be more difficult to transfer him!”
