The Premier League summer transfer window, for large periods, centered around Harry Kane.

The forward was heavily linked with Manchester City:

There were also rumours that the striker had refused to turn up to training, claims denied by Kane himself.

The hitman then came out to state in the final week of the transfer window that he would be remaining at Tottenham for the summer:

This message, though, did only specify that Kane was planning to remain at Spurs for the summer, rather than for the full season.

Of course, a lot has changed at Tottenham since, with serial winner Antonio Conte having recently taken over from Nuno Espirito Santo.

But as we edge closer to the January window, speculation over Kane’s future is no doubt set to mount once more.

And now, an insight into Manchester City’s stance on moving for the English international has been provided.

As per ESPN, City are prepared to launch a new bid for Kane following the turn of the year.

However, the report also adds that, prior to Conte taking charge at Tottenham, the Italian was given assurances that he could expect Kane to be included in his plans moving forward.
