Manchester City eyeing Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli
A recent report from England has credited Manchester City with an interest in Sassuolo midfielder, Manuel Locatelli.

Who is Manuel Locatelli?
After spending a year on loan with the club, Manuel Locatelli joined Sassuolo on a permanent basis in the summer of 2019.
Locatelli made the switch from fellow Serie A outfit AC Milan, for a fee reported to be just over £11m.
And the former Milan and Atalanta youth has since gone on to firmly cement himself as an integral member of Sassuolo’s midfield ranks.
All told, the Italian has notched 81 appearances in all competitions for the Neroverdi.
Across these outings, Locatelli has managed to notch five goals and provide nine assists – a solid record for a defensive midfielder.
His impressive form of late also saw the 23-year-old handed his senior Italy debut in September of 2020, with Locatelli having since managed 5 further caps.
Man City keen
And now, as outlined above, the Sassuolo star appears to be attracting interest from one of the Premier League’s top clubs.
The side in question are Manchester City, with the Daily Mail having reported that the Citizens have shortlisted Locatelli ahead of a potential summer swoop.
The midfielder’s current contract runs until the summer of 2023, with it suggested that he boasts a price-tag of around £30m.
City are not the only side seemingly keen on the midfielder, though, with Serie A powerhouse Juventus also named as keen admirers of the 23-year-old.
With Fernandinho’s contract up in the summer, and Rodri having perhaps not impressed to the extent that many had hoped since moving to England, though, Pep Guardiola’s side will likely need to bring in some fresh legs in the middle of the park in the summer.
And Locatelli, in turn, could prove to be just what the Sky Blues are looking for.
