The Star on Sunday – four words which in themselves offer no credibility to any story whatsoever – this weekend claim that a gaggle of clubs are starting to wake up to the availability of Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard.
Hazard played 90 minutes on Saturday as Chelsea lost to West Ham, while the Belgian international has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Chelsea in papers in England, France and Belgium.
The Star now believe that the biggest clubs in Europe are all circling around Stamford Bridge, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Man City.
Whether Chelsea would sell their star is another matter. Hazard is currently under contract until 2020.
The Star hint that the Blues could be open to doing business, citing “a rift” between Hazard and coach Jose Mourinho.
The tabloid goes on to claim that “Hazard is disappointed and surprised at the way his relationship with Mourinho has changed this season”.
The Star end off their article claiming Hazard will cost a minimum of £70 million.
