Man United eyeing summer move for Wolves’ Pedro Neto

Man United eyeing summer move for Wolves’ Pedro Neto

A recent report from England has credited Manchester United with an interest in Wolves winger, Pedro Neto.

Neto impressing with Wolves

Neto joined Wolves in August of 2019, from Portuguese outfit Braga.

Nuno Santo’s men are believed to have paid around £16m to bring the winger to Molineux.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a decent breakout campaign in England, notching three goals and three assists in 29 Premier League outings.

But, despite Wolves, as a team, having dropped off a fair bit this season, Neto has actually stepped up his production, to establish himself as one of the club’s star performers.

The Portuguese’s combination of pace and quick feet make him a nightmare for opposition defenders. He has also scored five and assisted four in the Premier League so far in 2020/21.

Man United linked with Neto

And now, the once capped international appears to be attracting interest from one of England’s biggest clubs.

According to the Sun, Manchester United are eyeing a £50m-plus summer move for Neto.

It is added that the Red Devils have made signing a right-winger one of their top priorities, with Neto’s impressive season having moved him up the club’s shortlist.

The report goes on to suggest that United now view Neto as a potential alternative to targets such as Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.

However, it is worth remembering that, whilst Neto is capable of playing from the right, he is naturally a left-winger. So, if United are going to spend over £50m to reinforce their right flank, perhaps they should look towards a player who lines out there on a more consistent basis.
