Man City & Andres Iniesta
Several newspapers in England on Sunday carry the same transfer rumour: Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta could be on his way to Man City.
It’s easy to add two and two together to get five.
Andres Iniesta’s position at Barcelona is now under threat following Philippe Coutinho’s arrival from Liverpool in January.
And Iniesta worked for Pep Guardiola at the Camp Nou in the club’s magical years. So would he like to continue his career at the Etihad Stadium?
At the same time, last summer Iniesta signed a ‘contract for life’ with the Catalans. Barcelona announced that deal saying:
Barcelona and Andres Iniesta have reached an agreement over a lifetime contract in a deal that will keep him at the club for the rest of his career.
So is a move to Man City actually on? The Mirror try to convince readers it is saying:
Pep Guardiola is planning an audacious move for Barcelona magician Andres Iniesta.
Iniesta, 33, signed a “contract for life” at Barca in October – but sources in Spain suggest that’s believed to be a non-binding agreement.
So are you convinced the deal is on? Neither are we.
Man City vs Chelsea
It’s been an awesome week at Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola won his first trophy with the Sky Blues last weekend at Wembley. City blew Arsenal off the park in the 3-0 win in the Carabao Cup final.
On Thursday night City beat the Gunners 3-0 again in the Premier League.
Will Chelsea be able to stop Guardiola’s men on Sunday?
Following defeat at Old Trafford last week, Chelsea dropped out of the top four as they were finally punished for their poor run of form.
Chelsea have lost three of their last four Premier League fixtures, with worrying defeats against the likes of Bournemouth, Watford and Man United putting manager Antonio Conte under immense pressure.
