Harry Maguire & Man United
The Mail on Sunday have recycled a transfer rumour aimed at worrying Leicester City fans.
Harry Maguire was one of England’s star players at the 2018 World Cup.
It’s clear that Maguire’s stock is on the rise, which has lead to stories popping up over a possible move to Man United.
At the same time, Leicester are reportedly reading a new contract offer for Maguire to keep him from moving to Old Trafford.
On Sunday the Mail have an update on Maguire:
Jose Mourinho retains an interest in Leicester defender Harry Maguire and could offer £65million for him.
The Portuguese boss wants to add a commanding centre-back to his squad this summer but will need to get one out first with Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling subject to enquiries.
Leicester’s Maguire & Wayne Lineker
It’s worth noting that Maguire is now on holiday.
The Leicester and England defender has turned up at Wayne Lineker’s club Ocean this weekend in Ibiza.
Gary Cahill to Leicester
If Leicester do sell Maguire this summer, two players are linked to the Foxes by the Mail.
The first is Barcelona’s Yerry Mina, while the alternative is Chelsea’s Gary Cahill.
Of those two options, Cahill seems the more likely option for Leicester.
That’s after Mina’s brother Jair has said his brother is committed to staying at the Camp Nou to fight for his place at Barcelona.
On Cahill, the Evening Standard last week suggested that Cahill is ready to leave Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are tipped to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus this summer.
