The summer transfer window only closed in the UK on Tuesday evening, yet thoughts of transfers continue across Europe today.

Lyon kept hold of their two best attacking players this summer, in Nabil Fekir and Alexandre Lacazette, by selling Clinton Njie to Spurs.

However, Fekir appears to have opened his way to a Premier League move, perhaps to Manchester United, with some quotes doing the rounds in France today.

Fekir told Europe 1: “Why can’t I one day play for Manchester [United]? This is the club of my dreams.”

The 22-year-old Lyon star added: “I am not there yet. I must have a good season with Lyon and then we’ll see.”

Fekir is part of the France squad preparing for friendlies this week and was also asked about Anthony Martial’s high-profile move to Manchester United from Monaco.

Since both players came through the Lyon system, Fekir is well placed to analyse Martial and said: “Anthony is a very good player, I played with him in Lyon. Of course this is a very large sum. We know that clubs like that are able to pay that kind of money for good players.”

Nabil Fekir has had an impressive start to 2015/2016, scoring four goals in his past two games. See his recent hat-trick against Caen on the video below.
