Liverpool’s Alisson ‘has desire’ to return to Brazil with Internacional
Alisson’s Liverpool stint
Alisson joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018 from AS Roma.
And the Brazilian has since gone on to play a crucial role in transforming Liverpool’s previously shaky backline.
His debut campaign in England saw Alisson notch 21 clean sheets in 38 Premier League outings, whilst also keeping six clean sheets en route to Liverpool’s 2019 Champions League triumph.
The shot-stopper also managed 15 shutouts in 29 league appearances last season, as Liverpool, of course, went on to secure their first-ever Premier League title.

Alisson’s future plans
Alisson has just under four years left on his current Liverpool contract.
And at 28, the Reds no.1 is still fairly young for a goalkeeper.
Despite this, though, whilst on international duty with Brazil, Alisson was this week drawn on his future plans during an interview with Globoesporte.
And the former Roma man stated that he wishes to continue for as long as possible at a high level. However, he also went on to reveal a desire to return to Brazil:
“I never went to make many long-term plans. Of course, I had dreams, but always with my feet on the ground and very focused on what I have in hand, what I can do now in the present. Determining a target, but making things happen in the now, knowing that the future depends on the now. I have plans to make a long career in football, to play as much as I can at a high level. Now if it will be up to 35, 40 or more than 40 I don’t know, I have a lot of road there.
“I hope to do my best while in the national team and in Europe. I have the desire to return to Brazil, but when it will happen, only God knows. We make plans, but I certainly know that God has something ready for me in the future, but I am living in the present for now.”
Alisson was then asked if his return to Brazil would likely come with former club Internacional, to which he responded:
“I know that God has something for me, I want to follow God’s plans for my life, but my heart’s desire for when I return to Brazil, if God goes to serve him, is to return to Inter, home, the club that I love.”
