Liverpool are being linked with Eintracht Frankfurt star Jesper Lindstrom because he’s understood to be a Reds fan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Jesper Lindstrom is understood to be a Liverpool fan and so this is how the recent rumours started,” Romano said.
“Many clubs appreciate him but at the moment there’s no proposal from Liverpool, the situation is still very quiet.
“Liverpool are keen on signing Matheus Nunes for next season, he’s part of the list – been told potential LFC future move was already discussed ahead of his move to Wolves last summer.”
Lindstrom is an attacking midfield who has scored six and assisted two in 14 Bundesliga games so far this season.
He can also play on the left and right wings. But given he is quite an attacking option, Liverpool may be better served looking elsewhere for a defensive midfielder as they could do with someone who is more defensively minded to help plug the holes in their backline.
