Liverpool have held productive talks with highly-rated Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic, according to the ECHO.
The 19-year-old starlet is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in Serbia, and his development has alerted the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea in recent months.
According to the ECHO, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a keen admirer of the midfielder and is looking to tie up a deal for the youngster in the region of £5million.
Liverpool had representatives in Serbia to watch Grujic score in Red Star’s 7-2 Serbian SuperLiga victory on Sunday and they were granted permission to hold talks with him after the game.
It is understood that the 19-year-old is weighing up his options before making a decision on his future, but won’t be rushed into making a move in January, as the midfielder has expressed his desire to stay in his homeland until the end of the season.
Grujic, has scored five goals for Red Star Belgrade this season, and was part of the Serbia squad who won the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand back in June.
