Thomas Lemar

Vadim Vasilyev tells Liverpool & Arsenal how much Thomas Lemar costs – Telefoot

Monaco’s Vadim Vasilyev on Telefoot

French TV show Telefoot had a big guest on Sunday: Vadim Vasilyev, the vice president and general manager of AS Monaco.

Twelve months ago, Monaco were ripped up the European football scene with one of the great young sides to emerge in recent times.

That lead to a mass exodus of players last summer as the biggest clubs in Europe came to poach Monaco’s assests. Yet Monaco have managed to maintain their standing in Ligue 1, sitting second in the table behind PSG.

Monaco also kept some of the starts, including Thomas Lemar.

But in recent times rumours linking Lemar to Arsenal and Liverpool have got louder.

Liverpool & Arsenal told how much Thomas Lemar costs

On Telefoot, the issue of Lemar leaving Monaco was raised.

Indeed, the TV show presented a graphic with three clubs named as suitors for Lemar: Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Vadim Vasilyev wished those clubs “good luck for those who want him”. When asked if Lemar would cost €110 to 130 million, Vasilyev simply said he’d cost “a lot!”

Did Vasilyev appear on Telefoot to try and start a bidding war for Lemar?

Leonardo Jardim’s Monaco future

Questions were also raised about Leonardo Jardim’s continued stay at Monaco.

Jardim has been linked to Chelsea as rumours spread about Antonio Conte’s probable exit at the end of the season.

Vasilyev made it clear he hopes Jarim will remain in charge of the club next season, calling him “the best coach in Ligue 1”.
