Leeds linked with Man United’s Daniel James & Teun Koopmeiners

A pair of updates surrounding Premier League newcomers Leeds United’s transfer targets have come to light online.

Leeds eyeing James

The first would prove quite a coup for the Yorkshire outfit.

According to the Mirror’s David Anderson, Leeds want to sign Manchester United’s Daniel James.

The Welshman, of course, joined the Red Devils from Swansea City last summer.

James had zero top-flight experience to his name at the time, but was still handed a regular starting berth by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the early months of the season.

And, to his credit, James did put in some solid performances for the Manchester powerhouse.

However, the second half of 2019/20 saw the wide-man’s form take something of a dip, with Mason Greenwood now United’s first-choice right-winger.

This led to question marks over his future at Old Trafford, which James’ agent attempted to quash in July.

However, as per Anderson, such uncertainty now appears to have surfaced once again:

Leeds targeting Teun Koopmeiners

Elsewhere on the Leeds front, the Whites are said to be eyeing reinforcements in the centre of the pitch.

As per the Telegraph:

Leeds United are looking to sign AZ Alkmaar captain Teun Koopmeiners to bolster Marcelo Bielsa’s midfield.

Koopmeiners is 22 years of age, and is capable of lining out both as a defensive midfielder and at centre-back.

The Dutchman has just over three years remaining on his current contract, with AZ expected to demand a fee of at least £10 million for their captain:
