According to a report from French publication Le Parisien this afternoon, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have pulled out of the running for the signature of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
Unai Emery’s PSG had been seen, along with Bayern Munich, as leading the queue for the Gunners’ in-demand Chilean magician, with multiple outlets reporting that the former Barcelona star would sooner move abroad than join one of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals.
However, the Ligue 1 side have today thrown in the towel with regards to Sanchez, having point-blank refused to match Arsenal’s rumoured offer of 320,000 Euro per week.
The French top flight runners-up will now give their full attention to Borussia Dortmund’s free-scoring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whom the Parisians are keen to pair with Edinson Cavani at the Parc des Princes.
However, the Gabon international will not come cheap, with the Bundesliga side reportedly holding out for no less than 70 million Euro.
