Laurent Koscielny & Arsenal
How much longer will Laurent Koscielny be at Arsenal?
The French international is often labelled as Arsenal’s best defender.
However Koscielny suffers from a chronic Achilles problem which has hampered the centre-half’s career in recent seasons.
On Tuesday reports came emerged out of France that Koscielny is already plotting his exit from the Emirates Stadium.
The update was provided by Lorient president Loic Fery to Canal+ Sport. Koscielny joined Arsenal from Lorient in 2010. Fery said:
He told me last week in London that he wanted to finish his career at Lorient.
I hope he has a few more years playing at Arsenal.
For the record, Koscielny is under contract at the Gunners until 2020.
Arsenal vs Huddersfield
It’s been a good few weeks for Arsenal.
After beating Tottenham in the north London derby, the Gunners picked up three points last weekend after a 1-0 win at Burnley.
Arsene Wenger’s men will be expected to keep their winning run going on Wednesday when Huddersfield arrive in London.
Arsene Wenger’s side have a 100% win record at home in the league this season, keeping four clean sheets in six games.
Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in all five matches that Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal have started at the back together.
Huddersfield lost for the second match running on Sunday, losing 2-1 to Man City. A Nicolas Otamendi own goal gave David Wagner’s side an early lead before Man City came back. Huddersfield ended the match with 10 men.
Only West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace have picked up fewer points on the road than Huddersfield this term.
Huddersfield have conceded 12 and scored none in their last six away games, losing five of those.
