Why Jose Mourinho sent a scout to Celtic 4 – Rangers 0

Celtic 4 – Rangers 0

Celtic are on course for the double treble.

On Sunday at Hampden Park, Celtic smashed rivals Rangers in the Scottish Cup semifinal.

Celtic broke the deadlock through Tom Rogic in the 22nd minute. Callum McGregor scored a second in the 38th to leave Rangers reeling at the break.

Rangers were reduced to 10 men when Ross McCrorie was dismissed in the 51st, and Moussa Dembele scored the resultant penalty.

Olivier Ntcham bagged a fourth, again from the penalty spot, to wrap up the win.

Man United scout spotted at the Old Firm derby

On Monday morning in the Times, it’s been confirmed that Man United sent a scout to Celtic vs Rangers.

Will Man United sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this summer? Readers are told:

Manchester United are the latest team south of the border to be credited with an interest in luring Tierney away from his boyhood club and reportedly sent scouts to Hampden to cast an eye over him once again yesterday.

They will not have been alone, of course, but, strange as it may sound, Jose Mourinho, or any other potential suitor, may have their work cut out in convincing Tierney to depart just yet.

“I’m not thinking about anyone other than Celtic just now,” he said. “I’m enjoying my career here; I’ve just signed a six-year deal, so if that doesn’t say long-term, I don’t know what does.”

Man United may have to spent north of 20 million pounds to land Tierney from Celtic this summer.

At the same time most believe that Luke Shaw will leave Old Trafford this summer.

Ashley Young recently agreed a one year extension to his Man United contract.
