Jose Mourinho open to selling winger as United look to rebuild

Martial out?

Jose Mourinho could be set to sell Anthony Martial this summer, after wondering if the player would be better off at another side – and if his team would be better off without him.

Martial has been linked with the exit this season, despite being a key player for United before Jose Mourinho joined, with the United boss questioning his work ethic and ability to actually play for the team.

Mourinho has clashed with Martial’s agent and the player himself, yet would keep the winger in an ideal world – yet is aware that if he buys Ivan Perisic or Willian, Martial will face an even bigger fight to get into the side.

£200 million to buy

One thing Mourinho is not short of this summer is cash, with Ed Woodward and the board set to not only reward Mourinho with a new five year deal, but also looking to bring in at least four players and spend at least £200 million.
