James Rodriguez at Bayern Munich

James Rodriguez linked with shock winter move from Bayern Munich

Has James Rodriguez made another disastrous career choice?

Ever since scoring a wonder goal for Colombia at the World Cup and joining Real Madrid, the career of James Rodriguez has been in free fall.

Unfortunately, for the Colombian playmaker, he seems to have made another disastrous career choice by joining Bayern Munich on loan.

Perhaps James should have words with his agent Jorge Mendes? The Portuguese adviser has done wonders for some players…

Bayern Munich return to winning ways v Freiburg

Returning Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes enjoyed his first game back in charge of the Bundesliga champions on Saturday.

Bayern Munich saw off Freiburg 5-0 thanks to goals from Julian Schuster (own goal), Kingsley Coman, Thiago Alcantara, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich.

Coupled with Borussia Dortmund’s home defeat to RB Leipzig, Bayern are now just just two points behind the Bundesliga leaders.

James Rodriguez an unused substitute

A fine afternoon for Bayern was not a great one for James Rodriguez.

The Colombian was an unused substitute – a position he got used to during his time at Real Madrid.

Now we can expect transfer rumours to be rife about James, who is unlikely to be first choice at Bayern under Heynckes.

James Rodriguez to the MLS?

Bild report (via the very unreliable Don Balon) that James Rodriguez could be forced to leave Bayern Munich for the MLS this coming winter.

James Rodriguez was Carlo Ancelotti’s dream signing last summer but now the Italian has left, it is difficult to see where the Colombian fits in.

Orlando City and New York City FC are keen on signing James Rodriguez.

James to replace Kaka or Pirlo?

Both Orlando City (Kaka) and New York City FC (Andrea Pirlo) are about to lose key players from their respective squads.

Whether the MLS is where James Rodriguez wants to play remains unclear.

Real Madrid would also have a say as they have loaned James Rodriguez to Bayern for this season and have an option of a second campaign.
