Jadon Sancho speaks out over transfer ‘noise’ amid Man United links

Transfer-linked Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho has today moved to assure that his focus remains firmly on matters on the pitch, rather than the prospect of a move away from the club.

Sancho targeted

Speculation surrounding the future of English international Sancho has of course been rampant for several months now.

On the back of another scintillating campaign with Dortmund, during which he racked up an eye-watering 20 goals and 20 assists, widespread reports have hinted at a potential Premier League return for the 20-year-old.

The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and even former club Manchester City have been tipped as possible landing spots for Sancho, though it is of course Manchester United who have been most heavily linked.

A number of reliable sources have even gone as far as to assure that an agreement on the personal terms of a contract has long been agreed between the parties, with only Dortmund’s hefty asking price standing in the way of a deal being pushed through:

‘Keep my head down’

Recent weeks, though, have seen speculation begin to mount that Sancho in fact looks set to remain at Signal Iduna Park this summer, claims backed by Dortmund director Sebastian Kehl this weekend.

As such, speaking earlier today, the gifted attacker was inevitably drawn on the widespread rumours surrounding his future, during an interview with SoccerBible.

But Sancho was keen to steer clear of the subject, assuring that, as things stand, his sole focus remains on matters on the pitch:

‘I try not to look at the media because I think once you start looking at all that it would be easy to get carried away with it. It can affect players.’

‘For me it’s about not looking at those things and just focusing on trying to do the best I can on the pitch. Especially in training.’

‘For me it’s about improving every single day. It’s important for me to keep a smile on my face and keep happy. I don’t really look at all the noise and all that stuff. I’d rather keep my head down, keep focus and improve every day.’
