‘It’s where he wants to be’ – Gareth Bale’s agent confirms Spurs desire/Dele Alli swap deal touted

The agent of Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale has this evening confirmed that his client is keen on a return to Tottenham, amid widespread claims that negotiations have been opened over a potential return to north London for the Welshman.

Reguilon incoming

Ongoings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have taken centre stage in the media on Tuesday.

This comes with Daniel Levy and co. having seemingly exploded into life, in an attempt to reinforce Jose Mourinho’s squad with a number of high-profile signings.

First up comes Sergio Reguilon.

Spanish full-back Reguilon, on the back of a superb campaign on loan with Sevilla, has been hotly-tipped for a permanent departure from Real Madrid this summer.

Recent weeks, meanwhile, had seen one club in particular emerge as widespread favourites to secure a deal for the 23-year-old, in the form of Manchester United.

As such, it no doubt came as a major blow for fans of the Red Devils when, in something of a bolt from the blue earlier today, word began to mount that a new suitor had overtaken Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s men in the hunt for Reguilon.

The outfit in question? Tottenham.

As confirmed by a host of reliable sources, the Lilywhites are now ‘close’ to pushing a move for the Real Madrid man over the line, in a major show of intent on the part of Daniel Levy and his team:

(It should be noted that the Lilywhites have also been linked with both Bas Dost and Leon Bailey over the course of the last 24 hours).

Bale to follow?

As outlined above, however, Reguilon may not be the only big-name individual set to swap Madrid for north London over the coming weeks.

Incredibly, reports have begun to like spread like wildfire on Tuesday night that Tottenham have also opened talks with the board at the Bernabeu over the signing of Gareth Bale.

As per the likes of Sky Sports, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and more, a stunning reunion is in the works, which would see Bale return to Spurs on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.

The Telegraph have even gone as far as to suggest that a swap deal could be on the cards, which would see Dele Alli move in the opposite direction:

And, as outlined above, if the latest comments on the part of Bale’s agent are anything to go by, then the Welsh international himself is not just open to the idea of moving back to the English capital, but is outright hopeful of a deal going through.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Sport a short time ago, Jonathan Barnett confirmed that negotiations are indeed underway, with the Tottenham Hotspur stadium ‘where Bale wants to be’:

‘Gareth still loves Spurs.’

‘We are talking [Spurs, Real and Bale’s camp]. It’s where he wants to be.’
