‘It wouldn’t surprise me’: Liverpool tipped to sign four midfielders

A transfer journalist has been discussing Liverpool recently.

Liverpool have had a fairly active summer transfer window so far.

Liverpool signed 2022 World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton at the end of May for £35m, eventually rising to £55m with add-ons.

Former RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has also arrived on Merseyside this summer.

Despite two new midfielders heading into the club, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho’s exits mean the Reds are still somewhat short in midfield.

The main name linked to replace said duo has been Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, with the Saints looking to recoup around £50m from his sale.

However, one journalist has speculated that Liverpool could add a fourth player in the form of Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch, who is said to be available on loan.

While speaking to the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey said: “I do wonder if we do still see, there is still an interest in Gravenberch at Bayern. Maybe, he’s available on loan, is Lavia experienced enough to start at Liverpool? It wouldn’t surprise me to see another two and that would be four new midfielders.”
